Auditions for NCCT’s 52nd summer show, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, will be held at the Lebanon Opera House on two dates with two sessions each day. Choose which day and session you wish to attend when you register.

  • Tuesday April 1 from 5 – 7pm

  • Tuesday April 1 from 7 – 9pm

  • Thursday, April 3 from from 5 – 7pm

  • Thursday, April 3 from from 7 – 9pm

Callbacks will be held on Friday, April 4 from 6 - 9pm at the Enfield Community Center, 308 US Route 4, Enfield, NH (diagonally across from Jake's)

Requirements:

  • Performers should be 18 or older.

  • Being part of a show is exciting but is also a very large commitment. Before committing to the show, please make sure your schedule allows you to participate as fully as possible. Your availability to attend rehearsals affects what scenes and numbers we schedule each week and any unexpected conflicts affect not just you but the entire cast. When registering, please select ALL rehearsal dates where you have a scheduling conflict.

Auditioners should be prepared for:

  • Vocal Auditions: Plan to sing 16-32 measures of a song from a musical that best showcases your range and personality. Please bring your sheet music for our accompanist.

  • Dance Auditions: Please bring clothes you feel comfortable to move in. Bring character or jazz shoes (if you have them) or comfortable shoes for dancing. Everyone will be asked to dance so the choreographer has an idea of your skill level. We will send out a video of the dance beforehand so you can prepare and practice.

  • Callbacks: Auditioners should familiarize themselves with the following songs from the soundtrack:

    • Lawrence - Give Them What They Want

    • Andre - Like Zis, Like Zat

    • Freddy - Great Big Stuff

    • Christine - Here I Am

    • Muriel - What Was A Woman To Do

    • Jolene - Oklahoma

Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings (6 – 9pm) and Saturday afternoons (12pm – 6pm) (not everyone will be called to every rehearsal). First rehearsal will be Saturday, April 12 (full cast read through). We load-in to Lebanon Opera House on Saturday, June 7th, and all cast members are expected to help. Beginning Sunday, June 8th, rehearsals will be held every day and will be mandatory for the full cast. Please list all conflicts when registering (full schedule below). Knowing your conflicts ahead allows us to make best use of our rehearsal time.

Other Information

  1. Although we would love to be able to cast everyone who comes out to audition we are not always able to do so.

  2. After casting, all cast members will be asked to pay a $25 materials fee to cover the cost of librettos and scripts. This fee is able to be waived if it represents a hardship.

  3. Check out our FAQ page to get additional information about what to expect from our productions.

  4. Sheet Music: A good place to find audition music is MusicNotes.com. You can choose your song, choose a key that works for your voice, download the sheet music for the pianist, and even listen to your song to get comfortable with the arrangement. This last part is important as sheet music does not necessarily match the cast recording you’ve been singing along to.
