Scholarships

In recognition of the tremendous energy, commitment, and talent of Upper Valley youth who participate in NCCT’s teen program, NCCT has established two annual scholarships to be awarded to graduating high school seniors pursuing their studies in theatrical or musical arts. The scholarships are named for Hetty Thomae, whose vision, energy, patience, and perseverance helped insure the success of the NCCT Teen productions, and Ellen Wilber, who was the Music Director for the Teen shows for 18 years.

  • The Ellen Wilber Scholarship: The Ellen Wilber Scholarship awards a $500 scholarship to a hardworking teen cast, crew, or orchestra member who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in either music, music education, or another music-related field. The Scholarship honors Ellen Wilber and the decades of hard work she dedicated to the NCCT Teen Program and NCCT.
  • The Hetty Thomae Scholarship: The Hetty Thomae Youth Scholarship was established to recognize the talent and potential of Upper Valley youth, specifically in the area of theatrical arts. The $500 scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior pursuing her/his studies in theatrical arts and/or music or another related field. The scholarship is named in honor of Hetty Thomae whose vision, energy, patience, and perseverance insured the success of many NCCT Youth productions.
