Audition Information:

Auditions for NCCT’s 50th summer show, 9 to 5, will be held in 2 sessions at Hartford High School in Hartford, VT:

  • Monday April 17 from 6 – 9pm
  • Tuesday April 18 from 6 – 9pm

Callbacks will be Wednesday, April 19 at 7pm
Location: Both auditions and callbacks will be held at at Hartford High School in Hartford, VT.

Requirements:

  • Performers should be 18 years old and up – ONE EXCEPTION: We are looking for a performer aged 16-18 to play the role of Josh, Violet’s teenage son 

Auditioners should:

  • Vocal Audition: Plan to sing 16-32 measures of an upbeat ballad from a musical that best showcases your range and personality. Please bring your sheet music for our accompanist.
  • Dance Audition: Please bring clothes you feel comfortable to move in. Bring character or jazz shoes (if you have them) or comfortable shoes for dancing. Everyone will be asked to dance so the choreographer has an idea of your skill level. 
  • Callbacks: Auditioners should familiarize themselves with “Around Here” (Violet), “Get Out and Stay Out” (Judy; ending half), “Shine Like the Sun” (Doralee), “Here For You” (Hart), and “Heart to Hart” (Roz)

Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons (not everyone will be called to every rehearsal). First rehearsal will be Saturday, April 22 (full cast). We load-in to Lebanon Opera House on Saturday, June 10th, and cast members are expected to help. Beginning Sunday, June 11th, rehearsals will be held everyday and will be mandatory for the full cast. Please list all conflicts when registering. Knowing your conflicts ahead allows us to make best use of our rehearsal time.

Please note: Although we would love to be able to cast everyone who comes out to audition we are not always able to do so.

Note: After casting, all cast members will be asked to pay a $25 materials fee to cover the cost of librettos and scripts. This fee is able to be waived if it represents a hardship.
