The gateway drug for me into NCCT was directing Oliver! in 2011. After a hurricane flooded the costume storage area later in the year, I directed a benefit performance celebrating past NCCT productions. I went on to teach theatre classes for a time under the umbrella of NCCT-ETC (Educational Theatre Company) and then joined the board in 2014 and served a 3-year term. During that term, I produced The Secret Garden and assisted with Beauty and the Beast, including creating a partnership with the scene shop at Northern Stage to assist with set design and building. Re-elected in 2020 I look forward to engaging with how we can bring equity and diversity to the work, explore different paths to audience engagement, and focus on fundraising to keep NCCT thriving into the next century. I hope you join us.
