I love the way theatre tells stories. I got involved in my local community theatre in Kansas when I was ten years old. After I moved to Vermont in 2008, NCCT was the first community theater company with which I worked—the organization was not only doing amazing work, but they were very accessible to someone who was new to the area. I studied theatre in both college and graduate school and worked at Northern Stage as education manager for two years so theatre is very important to me. I think for a lot of us who are drawn to theatre we are looking for a “home” of like-minded people, and NCCT fills that space for me. I manage the Educational Theatre Company (ETC) wing of NCCT that was started in 2011. I work at the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College as the outreach coordinator and I direct the winter show at Hanover High School. I also like to stretch my teaching artist muscles and spread the gospel of theatre by leading theatre workshops in schools and community centers.
