ETC Instructors

Kurt Feuer

Kurt lives in Hanover, NH and teaches fifth grade at the Bernice A. Ray School.  He received his B.A. in Drama from Furman University in 1974 and began a theatrical career that includes appearances in regional theater productions at The Folger Shakespeare Library.  He has appeared on television in As the World Turns, and The Guiding Light, and in numerous television commercials and films.  Locally, he has appeared in four productions with Northeast Shakespeare Ensemble, Shaker Bridge Theater, Parish Players, and Northern Stage.  He received his Masters Degree from the Bread Loaf School of English where he appeared in their main stage productions, including Much Ado About Nothing.  Currently, he performs with Valley Improv and is one of their founding members.  He enjoys teaching improvisation with children and adults of all ages and has directed improvisational theater groups at Rivendell Academy, The Ray School, and Northern Stage.

Mary Gaetz

Mary worked for two years as Education Manager at Northern Stage working with Jody Davidson.  She is a founding member of Upper Valley Educational Theatre Comoany, which is now NCCT-ETC.  She has a BFA in theatre from Emporia State University and an MFA in Directing for Stage and Screen from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She has performed in productions professional, academic and amateur, including Macbeth, The Laramie Project, Terra Nova, Grace and Glorie, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and Cabaret.  This past summer she directed Oliver! for NCCT and she is currently directing the upcoming benefit performance.  Other directing credits include Bridge to Terabithia, Scooter Thomas Makes It to the Top of the World, and Self Defense or death of some salesman.  Her day job is Outreach Coordinator for the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College.

Marie Gouba

Marie received her MA in Music Theatre from the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England and her BA in Vocal Music Education from Olivet College. For the past 3 years, Marie has taught voice to beginning and intermediate students throughout the Upper Valley and London. Marie has performed in musicals and plays throughout the USA and the United Kingdom including Into the Woods, The Threepenny Opera, Our Town, The Tempest, Antigone, Gods at Play, The Pajama Game (NCCT), Marry Me a Little and Bridge to Terabithia (directed by Mary Gatez). She currently works at the Paddock Music Library at Dartmouth College, conducts the elementary choirs at Plainfield School and owns and operates her own vocal studio in Claremont, NH.

Greg Potter

Greg’s Music Direction credits include; You’re A Good Man, Charlie BrownAnnieThe Rocky Horror ShowBye Bye Birdie as well as NCCT’s productions of 42nd Street (2009) and Oliver! (2011). As a performer, Greg has appeared in South Pacific, Guys and Dolls, The Laramie Project, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Taming of the Shrew. Greg has a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Plymouth State University. During the day, Greg is also employed at Dartmouth College’s Baker-Berry Library.

Erin Smith

Erin lives in White River Junction and works at the Hopkins Center for the Arts at Dartmouth College. She has a BA in Psychology and an EdM in Arts in Education.  She has taught drama in schools, after school programs, and summer camps and co-directed her college comedy improv group.  She is quite happy to join NCCT-ETC.

Richard Waterhouse

Richard Waterhouse is a teacher/director/actor who has been a member of  SAG, AEA and AFTRA for 25 years. He has studied with teachers Roy London, Ivanna Chubbuck, Cameron Thor, James Price and Jane Brody.  Richard taught film acting for five years at the Cameron Thor studio in Los Angeles, leaving to open his own studio in 2003.  He directed a number of short films and theater productions before directing his first feature film, Young, Single and Angry, now in international release. He has appeared in professional stage productions of plays and musicals in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles and is featured in the independent feature film Karl Rove, I Love You and the Hallmark Channel Christmas movie, Moonlight and Mistletoe.
